Assigning hours: working hours, teaching, other tasks, and preparations

With the function Assign hours, you can register for each teacher/educator how many hours they have been assigned since the beginning of the school year. This function also provides an overview of how many of these hours are planned in the various schedules in Docendo, divided into the following categories: working hours, teaching, tasks, preparation, and substitute hours.

The function can be found under the menu item Planning.

The numbers in the Assigned column for working hours, teaching, tasks, preparation, and substitute hours can be edited for each user. The Scheduled columns show how many hours are planned in the schedules under the different categories, while the **Difference **columns show the difference between assigned and scheduled hours.

You can sort the overview by Assigned, Scheduled, or Difference.

At the same time, you can filter the view to show a specific group of employees – for example, "Teachers in Grade 5". In the example below, we have sorted by planned working hours (high to low) and filtered the view to teachers in Grade 5. (See Grouping of Staff Members for more information.)
